This is my entry into the 8 Bits to Infinity Music Motif Challenge II, hosted by Retro Indie Josh.

I imagine this as the soundtrack to an escape sequence: You hear your ship's systems start to bug out and go offline. The ship starts plummeting toward the surface of the nearest moon, and you must navigate through the crumbling interior to reach the escape pod!

I feature the motif purely at the beginning, but then the spaceship begins falling apart, so to speak. For the rest of the song, I use the motif as a melody, but I change the key center (basically transposing to the dorian mode) and shift the barline. 

The included .wav file is my main submission. There is an intro, and then the looping section of the music begins at about 29.5 seconds. I've included a video of the song for convenience. The video version also helps demonstrate where the loop happens.
